Sheathed in a glistening new exterior (with bolder headlights, an aerodynamically enhanced front bumper and impressive wheel upgrades), the new Touareg has taken the best attributes of its predecessor, and made them even better. Retreat into the luxurious interior, and discover new leather trim options, a powerful 11 speaker 600W sound system and comprehensive Climatronic air-conditioning. And lest you think the changes are merely superficial, think again. In all, over 2300 new parts have been introduced in the new Touareg.
Under the bonnet, the 5.0 V10 TDI has even undergone a green evolution - now housing the revolutionary Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) which effectively removes carbon particulates, resulting in engine emissions that are less harmful to the environment.
The full Touareg line-up now includes the 2.5 R5 TDI Tiptronic, which delivers 128kW and 410Nm, the refined 3.0 V6 TDI Tiptronic, which offers performance figures of 165kW and 500Nm, and the petrol 4.2 V8 Tiptronic that boasts a mighty 257kW and 440Nm. Matching innovation with performance, the 5.0 V10 TDI engine with DPF delivers a massive 230kW and 750Nm of torque.
